happy thursday. a personal post.

happy thursday everybody! i think thursday is one of the best days of the week only because it's getting super close to the weekend and i love seeing how much i can accomplish before it gets here. it also means that i get to spend more time with kris soon. for those that do not know, kris is hard at work in medical school. yes, he is a smarty pants but he keeps his ego in check...most of the time. here are a few pictures i captured of him the other day. he studies at home a lot which is nice for me because i can sneak in and see him every once in awhile. please ignore the office mess, it's getting a serious overhaul in the next couple of weeks.

September GIVEAWAY

hello hello everybody! i hope you all have had a fabulous september! it's one of my favorite months and that may (or may not) be because i celebrate a birthday. i think birthdays are so much fun and lucky for me, i have a husband who thinks so also. he spoiled me of course and even hacked our personal blog and wrote me some nice things. you can read them here. I was feeling so much love from y'all ( i can say that now, i'm in kentucky) that i wanted to give back. so, it being my birthday month, i thought i would giveaway a few of my favorite things to one lucky winner!

some of my favorite things include a scarf (this one is black with white polka dots), sour patch candies (anything sour is fabulous), soft lips chapstick (beats all other chapsticks in my opinion), a moleskin journal (the best journals ever made), a $5 dollar gift card to starbucks (we don't drink coffee but you must try the salted caramel hot chocolate), and a few other goodies.

right around the corner

it's technically not fall yet (until the 23rd) but it's starting to feel like it. this morning was a cool one with a little rain. i am actually wearing a sweater for the first time this season. i love fall... i just hate what comes after it. i love cardigans, hot chocolate (hazelnut to be exact), and snuggling of course. kris and i started the weekly leaf raking last weekend but you know what? i actually like raking leaves. so bring it on trees.

so, what's your favorite thing about fall?
